It’s said that spring is the blooming season of flowering cherry trees when you can appreciate the beautiful and full bloom of cherry blossoms nearly at every corner of Hangzhou.

Recently, a cherry blossom tree has come into bloom in Qiantang Chunxiao Community in Hangzhou and attracted many tourists coming afar to take photos.

What makes this cherry tree so special? Different from the pink and white colors commonly seen in cherry blossom, its flowers are pale green. Before that, there is only one green cherry blossom tree beside the bank of the scenic spot Three Pools Mirroring the Moon in the West Lake.

The green cherry blossom, whose scientific name is Cerasus serrulata 'Grandiflora', is an extremely rare species. If you don’t want to miss the chances for flower viewing, come and savor the romance and fragrance hiding in each petal of the green cherry blossom.
