The 4th Global Digital Trade Expo to spotlight innovation and future prospects

The 4th Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, from Sept 25 to 29, with the annual theme "Witness the innovative future at GDTE". The United Arab Emirates and Indonesia will serve as guest countries of honor, while Shaanxi province will be the guest province of honor.

Exhibition Layout
The expo will cover a total area of 155,000 square meters and host 1,671 exhibitors. It will adopt a "1+5+7" structure: one themed exhibition area, five major segments of digital trade (digital order trade, digital technology trade, digital service trade, digital product trade, and data trade), and seven featured industry sections.

The themed exhibition area will present highlights such as Deepseek's generative AI for poetry and music, Unitree's robots performing street dance, and StarVision's initiative for visitors to share their "digital trade dreams", alongside a variety of new products shaping a "future technology arena".

The digital entertainment section will offer interactive experiences including AI holographic cabins with digital humans, gaming trials, esports matches with star players, and meet-and-greet sessions with domestic animation creators and voice actors.

The smart mobility section will feature demonstrations such as trial flights of aircraft by Tianmushan Laboratory, Tesla's intelligent assisted driving experience, and drone simulators showcasing future transportation. Other sections, including digital healthcare, smart spaces, and smart logistics, will display how digital technologies empower the development of medicine, cities, and logistics.

Diverse Event Ecosystem
Focusing on the needs of exhibitors and professional visitors, the expo has developed an activity framework with more than 80 professional digital trade releases already in preparation. Eight themed events will highlight international cooperation, including "Silk Road E-commerce Day", "Digital Trade Africa Day", and the "BRICS Special Economic Zone Cooperation Matchmaking Session".

Trade Opportunities

The expo is expected to attract 40,000 professional buyers, including more than 10,000 from overseas. So far, 32,000 professionals have pre-registered, including 7,700 international buyers, and over 300 international procurement requests have been collected across the seven featured industry sections.

Accessible Digital Consumption
Centered on five themes: food, household services, time-honored brands, digital lifestyle, and integrated culture-business-tourism-sports, the expo will create an online-offline consumption ecosystem. It will launch sales of the "Top Ten New Tech Specialties of Hangzhou" and issue exclusive consumption vouchers. It will also connect with campaigns including "Zhejiang Shopping Season", "Michelin Restaurant Week", and "Xiaohongshu Street Life Festival".

Comprehensive Service Support
The organizers, in collaboration with Alipay, have introduced a "convenient payment" function, now covering 162 tax-refund stores across Hangzhou.with ome stores already implemented "refund upon purchase" services.
