Yang Qian, the gold medalist of the woman's 10m air rifle of the Tokyo Olympics, shot down another gold medal with her partner Yang Haoran at the 10m air rifle mixed team on July 27.

In the gold medal match, they were playing against Mary Carolynn Tucker and Lucas Kozeniesky from the US. The Chinese couple won at 16 to 13.

The two Chinese shooters both performed well in their individual finals. Yang Qian won the gold medal on July 24 and Yang Haoran won the bronze on July 25.

Yang Qian, 22, was born and raised in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. Her family and relatives back in Ningbo were inspired by her triumph in her first Olympics.

Yu Lihua, her first shooting coach, said that she is a very calm girl who can adjust well in competitions.

"Everyone will be nervous when in such big events, but she did very well in adjusting herself," he said.
