The second phase of the "Hai Zhi Ju Jiao" event brought 20 overseas experts from top global universities and research institutes to Jiaojiang district of Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, from June 30 to July 1.

The event aimed to strengthen ties between international talent and key local industries.

Launched last year, it has become a vital platform for linking Jiaojiang with global innovation. To date, 63 overseas experts in 15 delegations have visited local businesses, with 10 of them joining companies in fields such as optoelectronics, biomedicine, and high-end equipment manufacturing.

In coordination with university alumni networks and industry associations, officials collected 83 detailed talent needs from businesses, leading to a tailored outreach campaign to recruit global professionals.

One standout result was the recruitment of two PhD holders by Jack Technology. With their help, the firm integrated generative AI and deep learning into product design, creating China's first AI-driven flat sewing machine. Sales are projected to top 160,000 units globally within three years.

Onsite visits included tours of leading companies and tech centers. Six experts reached preliminary cooperation agreements. Officials said the event deepened talent–industry alignment and positioned Jiaojiang as a magnet for international innovation.
