In order to fully grasp the extent of the overseas Chinese affected by the pandemic, and to find out the number of people diagnosed with the infection, suspected or even self-feared, Overseas Chinese Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Milan, Chinese Assistance Center in Milan and other local overseas Chinese groups, jointly put forward an idea to establish an online module hospital. “Overseas Chinese and international students with suspected symptoms should hurry up and fill in the link below to consult the pandemic experts and get the Chinese patent medicine.”

“Overseas Chinese all have WeChat accounts. Can we ask everyone to input health information online via the WeChat platform, so that the medical expert team from Zhejiang can make the remote diagnosis?” Said Zhu Jinliang, secretary-general of the Overseas Chinese Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Milan.

On the evening of March 21st in Italy, Zhu Jinliang invited three second-generation overseas Chinese skilled in the computer operation from China-Italy Chamber of Commerce to create an applet form of the online module hospital. After being promoted by overseas Chinese groups and overseas Chinese media, this “online hospital” was quickly forwarded among overseas Chinese. The total number of registered people has reached 750 so far.

The expert team prescribed medicines overnight, and the overseas Chinese leads ran errands to deliver them.

After receiving the message asking for the help of the overseas Chinese and their contact information, the experts can perform the point-to-point remote treatment.

The next day, these Chinese medicines were handed over to the Overseas Chinese Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Milan, who was responsible for coordinating the overseas Chinese groups and logistics to distribute the medicines.

In the critical period, a number of overseas Chinese leaders originally from Wenzhou, China volunteered to take on the arduous task of delivering medicines. On March 22, Li Xiutong, Honorary President of the Overseas Chinese Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Milan, delivered medicines to many overseas Chinese under the risk of being infected and being inspected by the police.

In the past few days, the office of the Overseas Chinese Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Milan has become a distribution center for relief supplies and medicines. In order for the overseas Chinese to get the medicine as soon as possible, the overseas Chinese leaders decided after consultations that they should continue to send the medicines for those in urgent need of medicines by themselves. For those who lived too far away to be delivered, Zheng Zixian, President of the Overseas Chinese Youth Association in Milan, was responsible for packing and sending the medicines with other members.

“It must be a difficult time, but we are not alone,” said Zhu Jinliang.

“海外侨胞都有微信，能否通过微信平台，让大家在网上输入健康信息，由浙江医疗专家组远程把脉。”米兰华侨华人工商会秘书长朱金亮说。

意大利时间3月21晚，朱金亮请了中意商联3位熟练电脑的侨二代，创建了网上方舱医院小程序表单。通过各侨团和海外华文媒体推送后，这个”网上医院”随即在侨胞中迅速转发，截止目前，累计注册人数达到750人。

专家组连夜开药，侨领当跑腿送药

收到侨胞的求助信息，也有他们的联系方式，就能进行点对点远程治疗。

第二天，这些中药交由米兰华侨华人工商会，由工商会负责协调各大侨团以及物流，进行药品分发。

关键时期，多名温籍侨领自告奋勇接下了送药上门这一艰巨的任务。3月22日，米兰华侨华人工商会名誉会长李秀桐冒着被感染被警察检查的风险，为多位侨胞送药上门。

这几天时间，米兰华侨华人工商会的办公室内成了救灾物资和药品的集散地。为了让侨胞尽快拿到药，侨领们经过商议后决定，急需送药的，继续由各侨领负责跑腿派送，路程太远无法送达的，则由米兰华侨华人青年会会长郑子娴及会员负责打包寄出。

  “这必定是一段艰难的时期，但我们不孤单。”朱金亮说。
