Early in the summer morning, a foreigner is cycling up and down a mountain trail in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The trail is so secret that seldom natives would have known.

A few hours later, he appeared in his office in downtown Hangzhou, taking charge of global communication for Geely Holding Group, one of China's largest carmakers.

Ash Sutcliffe, from the UK, has been keeping a perfect balance of work and hobby during the past eight years, and he thinks that should partly attribute to the characteristics of Hangzhou.

"Hangzhou is a city that balances city life and natural life well, and that is perfect for me," he said.
