2025 ISSF World Cup launched in Ningbo

The 2025 ISSF World Cup (Ningbo Station) started on Sept 8 at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center, welcoming over 300 top shooters from 43 countries and regions. As one of the three top global shooting events, the event highlights Ningbo's growing role in international sports.

China's national team has a strong group, including top shooters Sheng Lihao, Hu Kai, Wang Zifei, and Zhang Yueyue. From Sept 9 to 14, shooters are competing for medals in 10 Olympic shooting events, such as 10m air rifle and pistol (men, women, mixed team), 50m rifle three positions, and 25m pistol events.

The first day of the competition had two mixed team finals and award ceremonies: The 10m air pistol final at 11:45 am and the 10m air rifle final at 2:30 pm.

The opening ceremony combined sports with Ningbo's heritage, featuring cultural highlights such as lion dances, fish lanterns, and Yue kiln ceramics.

By hosting big events and investing in sports areas, Ningbo is using the "event economy" to boost tourism, energize local businesses, and grow its global presence.
