August 25 is the Qixi Festival or widely known as the Chinese Valentine's Day. In ancient China, Chinese girls usually hold praying ceremonies on this day to express their wishes for a happy marriage.

How did you celebrate this festival yesterday? For those foreign nationals, it was also a good chance to approach the inner side of Chinese culture. 

In Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, foreign friends enjoyed this festival with their Chinese friends in their own ways. 

At 19:30 pm on Tuesday, a live cultural event that both bonded Chinese and Western styles was launched at the "Meeting Wuma" Live-streaming Studio. 

Brett and Michael from South Africa sang dulcet Chinese and English songs with their beautiful voices. Petros, a keyboard player from Zimbabwe, added more vibes to the site with his wonderful performance.

The dim sum chef had also prepared the traditional Qixi Festival snack - Maqiao and distributed them to the audience. Maqiao is a traditional local food which is made with high-quality flour, cane sugar, lard, salt, soda and other raw materials. People usually modulates them into a tongue shape, sprinkled them with sesame seeds, and then put them into an oven to bake out. 

In the meantime, Karen, a Filipino friend living in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, also took a short video about Qixi Festival with the audience.

On this lovely day, everything seemed to be so wonderful!
