Hangzhou is the major origin of China's e-commerce industry, and the scale of the livestreaming e-commerce industry has continued to expand. 


Neha Ray, from Black Doda, Nepal, sold Hangzhou's signature silk in her live stream.


Hangzhou has a long history of silk production, with the Southern Song Dynasty being the peak period. In recent years, Hangzhou Silk has gained a lot of exposure to major international events like the G20 Summit, the World Internet Conference, and the Asian Games.

Neha used a live stream to let the audience experience the superior quality and charm of Hangzhou silk by showing the fine details and techniques of the silk products in front of the camera.


Since Hangzhou hosted the Asian Games this year,  products with the Asian Games style are selling well.

Sarker Arnab is a former cricket player from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He presented Asian Games style products through live streaming, which includes not only silk products, but also a wide range of products including refrigerator stickers, stationery, mascots, etc. 


Sarker noted that live-streaming e-commerce extends the information that traditional online shopping cannot provide, which is a more engaging way for buyers to purchase products.
