Since December 29, many places in Zhejiang province, including the Dinghai District of Zhoushan City, and Luqiao District of Taizhou City are distributing epidemic prevention kits to people over 60 years old to help them stay healthy amid the COVID-19 spread.

The small epidemic prevention kit contains not only much-needed medicines but also a responsible attitude towards life and care for the elderly group of people. The items in the kits vary from place to place, but the intention to help the elderly people remains the same. For those elderly people who have not had time to prepare medicine, the kit is very useful and can solve urgent problems.

Amid the pandemic, the elderly are at high risk of severe illness after infection with the novel coronavirus, especially those with underlying diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. To protect the safety of the elderly is the deep concern of thousands of families, but also the deep concern of governments at all levels of Zhejiang.
