The China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group delivered its 1,300-metric-ton fully rotating crane vessel — the Tie Jian Da Qiao Qi 2 — to participate in the construction of the Qinglongmen Bridge in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on May 28.
The Tie Jian Da Qiao Qi 2 is a non-self-propelled crane vessel measuring 130 meters in length, 37.2 m in width and 8.8 m in depth.
Built entirely of steel with a welded monohull design, the vessel is equipped for heavy-duty tasks such as hoisting steel and concrete box girders and driving steel pipe piles — key components in large-scale bridge projects.
With this addition, the China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group now is operating an auxiliary fleet including the Tie Jian Da Qiao Qi 1, a 2,500-ton straight boom crane vessel, and the Tie Jian Da Qiao Tuo 1, a 6,000-horsepower tugboat.
The Tie Jian Da Qiao Qi 2 will soon depart for Zhoushan, where it will bolster efforts in constructing the Qinglongmen Bridge — yet another milestone in China's rapidly advancing infrastructure development.
