On September 26, the China National Silk Museum (NSM) located along the West Lake in Hangzhou hosted the enchanting "Night of Uzbekistan". This event, a significant component of the ongoing "Silk Road Week" series by the NSM, was co-organized in collaboration with the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The "Night of Uzbekistan" unfolded as a showcase of Uzbekistan's cultural richness, featuring performances by talented Uzbek artists presenting traditional dances and music. The event also provided a platform for local Uzbek craftsmen to display the intricate Ikat craft of handwoven textiles, offering the audience a close-up experience of Uzbekistan's artistic heritage.

Emphasizing the unique costume culture embedded within Uzbekistan's social and cultural milieu, the event underscored the enduring cultural exchanges and the blending of attire cultures between the two nations, nurtured through the Silk Road. Uzbekistan, a vital hub and trade center on the Silk Road, has witnessed the continuous development of its civilization through centuries of trade interactions.

Building on the success of the "Silk Road Week" in 2022, jointly hosted by Uzbekistan and Zhejiang Province, this event marks a further deepening of cooperation between NSM and Samarkand State Museum-Reserve of Uzbekistan.
