On March 23, the Chinese anti-epidemic medical expert group arrived at the largest and highest-level infectious disease hospital Ospedale Luigi SACCO Hospital in Italy. To have a better idea of the practical needs of the hospital, the expert group offered to see the procedure of treating a COVID-19 patient and visited different areas of the hospital, including the emergency room, P4 laboratory, infection ward, etc.

Faced with the high infection rate of Italian medical staff, Professor Qiu Yunqing, the head of the group and the Executive Vice- President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, emphasized the protection standard of the front-line medical staff, showed them pictures of fully-protected medical staff and standard protocol to take off the isolation clothes.

He also pointed out the isolation wards need to be established under a strict standard of "three areas and two channels". Ward area should be divided into pollution areas, potential pollution areas, and clean areas. Two buffer areas should be set between the pollution area and the potential pollution area. Meanwhile, patient passage and medical staff passage should be distinguished inward area.

"These are important measures to protect front-line medical staff and in-hospital infection. This is also why there's zero infection of medical staff in Zhejiang Province and among over 40,000 medical staff sent from different provinces to help Wuhan. "

Besides communicating with the local medical experts and providing guidance on COVID-19 treatment, the Chinese medical expert group also donated materials on behalf of Chinese, including 220 thermometers, 160,000 masks in 75 boxes, etc. All these materials are in urgent need of Chinese in Italian.

The medical expert group also started a Chinese WeChat group chat to go on live and educate people on how to scientifically protect oneself from the virus and ease everyone. "Since we had this group chat, there have been many questions. We are practical with the phone 24/7 to answer the questions."

3月23日，中国赴意大利抗疫医疗专家组来到意大利规模最大、水平最高的感染病医院Ospedale Luigi SACCO Hospital。为更好了解该院的实际需求，专家组一行主动要求模拟新冠肺炎患者的就诊流程实地考察了医院的各区块，包括急诊、P4实验室、感染病房等。

针对目前意大利居高不下的医护人员感染问题，医疗专家组组长、浙大一院常务副院长裘云庆教授重点讲述了一线医护人员的防护标准，展示了标准防护的医务人员照片，以及穿脱隔离服的标准流程。

裘云庆教授还指出需严格按照“三区两通道"的标准来设置隔离病房，病房区域应划分为污染区、潜在污染区和清洁区，在污染区和潜在污染区之间应再设置两个缓冲区，同时病区应区分患者通道和医务人员通道。

“以上这些都是保护一线医务人员、严控院内感染的重要举措，这也是浙江省医护人员零感染，各省驰援武汉超4万医护人员零感染的重要保障。”

在与当地医疗专家交流、进行新冠肺炎救治的指导之外，中国医疗专家组还向华人华侨代表捐赠了物资，包括220支额温计、75箱总计16万只口罩等，这些物资全部都是意大利华人华侨最紧缺、最急需的。

医疗专家组还组建了华人华侨微信群，为大家直播讲解如何科学防疫，一一解答大家的问题，缓解大家的焦虑情绪。“自从建了这个群以后，大家提问非常热烈，我们几乎每分每秒都捧着手机在回复。”
