It was reported by Xinhua News Agency (Ningbo) on June 9 that the China-CEEC Cooperation Forum was held in Ningbo. Hu Chunhua, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech.

Hu pointed out that achievements have been made since the unveiling of China-CEEC cooperation, especially in such areas as trade, investment and infrastructure, promoting the mutual benefits between China and the CEECs and deepening the strategic partnership between China and Europe. 

China is willing to work with the CEECs to strengthen the docking of their development strategies and plans, trade and transactions, investment and production capacity cooperation, infrastructure connectivity and the width and depth of cooperation.

Hu stressed that China will unswervingly expand its opening up, reduce its negative list, promote an all-round opening up of modern service sector, manufacturing sector and agriculture, speed up the formulation of foreign investment laws and regulations, strengthen the international cooperation on intellectual property rights protection, the import of quality commodities and services, and high-level trade and investment liberalization and facilitation. CEEC enterprises are welcomed to work with Chinese enterprises to seize the opportunities and explore the potential, thus bringing their cooperation to a new level.

Before attending the forum, Hu visited some halls and pavilions of the first China-CEEC Expo &International Consumer Goods Fair and met with Richard Rasi, Vice Premier of Slovakia, Tomislav TOLUŠIĆ, Vice Premier of Croatia, Alenka Bratusek, Vice Premier of Slovenia and Filip Vujanovic, Honorary President of the Republic of Montenegro, etc.
