1. Villagers experience growing sense of security


At the end of last year, every resident of Fanglin, a village in Taizhou city in the eastern province of Zhejiang, received 49,000 yuan ($7,710) in dividends, while benefits and pensions helped some to get as much as 70,000 yuan, according to Fang, the village Party secretary.


Among some 26 benefits, the residents enjoy free medical care, free retirement apartments and all-expenses-paid vacations. "The villagers have a growing sense of gain, happiness and security," Fang said. "We are on the right track to achieving common prosperity."


2. Yiwu Customs issued first certificate for export to Malaysia under RECP framework


On March 18, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement entered into force for Malaysia. According to the direction of Hangzhou Customs, Yiwu Customs issued the first certificate of origin for export to Malaysia under RCEP framework in Zhejiang province.


3. Landfill sites turned into ecological parks


From January 1, 2021, 49 landfill sites in Zhejiang ceased operations. And since April in 2021, Zhejiang has began comprehensive administration of landfill. Nowadays, almost all the landfill sites are turned into ecological parks. And subsequently, the construction of zero-waste city, which Shaoxing takes the lead in promoting, is being carried out in Zhejiang.


4. Wenling’s Orchard introduces Intelligent Internet of Things system


An orchard of Zhejiang Dongpu Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. introduced Intelligent Internet of Things system to carry out the transformation into intelligent agriculture where agrotechnical personnel can operate remotely by a phone or a computer.


The transformation of the orchard not only saves manpower and material resources, but also boosts efficiency, improves the quality of products, and helps realize agricultural modernization.


5. Zhejiang airhostesses prepare for Hangzhou Asian Games


Zhejiang Loong Airlines recently carried out etiquette training in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, for its 300 flight attendants who have been tasked to serve in chartered flight cabins and sporting venues during the 19th Asian Games in the city this September.
