1. The 12th issue of Tianmu Global Covid-19 Resilience Ranking released, China ranks first and Thailand moves up by 9 positions


On November 1, the 12th issue of Tianmu Global Covid-19 Resilience Ranking was released. With a total score of 91.6, China continues to top the list. Due to a significant increase in the number of people getting vaccinated, Thailand moved up 9 places to be in the top 30 for the first time while Germany's total score dropped to 58.3 points, with the ranking moving down to 18th place due to poor epidemic prevention and control. The United States hit a new low again with the ranking moving down to 37th place.


To give a broad overview of all released issues of Tianmu Global Covid-19 Resilience Ranking, China ranks first in the total score for 12 consecutive issues. In the last 11 issues, China’s total score is above 90, far ahead of other countries.


2. The exhibition of the Great Series of Ancient Chinese Paintings opens


With the aid of modern technology, digital version of ancient precious paintings included in the Great Series of Ancient Chinese Paintings have been brought into museums for the first time.  


On November 2, the periodic achievement exhibition for the Great Series of Ancient Chinese Paintings is unveiled in the Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeology. The team behind the Great Series project apply digital technology into cultural relics preservation and innovative development of outstanding traditional cultures, establishing the highest fidelity image database to date for all extant ancient Chinese paintings.

3. For the third consecutive year, Hangzhou ranked No.1 in China in terms of business environment


The Report on 2021 Ten Thousand Private Enterprises’ Evaluation of Business Environment was released on November 1. Hangzhou ranks first in the country for the third consecutive year in terms of the business environment and once again wins the title of "City with the best reputation for the business environment". 


According to the report, Zhejiang Province was ranked first in the country in terms of business environment compared with other provinces.


The top ten cities are Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Qingdao, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Changsha, Chengdu. 


4. Gongshu Canal Sports Park to open to public


The Gongshu Canal Sports Park was officially announced to open to the public in November. It attracted many Hangzhou citizens visiting in advance last weekend. Some teenagers went skating at the skate park.


The park is located in the Gongshu District of Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, covering an area of 701 mu (46.73 hectares) and a total construction area of 185,000 sq meters.


It is Zhejiang's first comprehensive urban sports park integrating an indoor stadium, park, playground, and commercial facilities.


A table tennis test match will be held in the park from Nov 12 to 14.


It will undertake the competitive events of table tennis and field hockey in the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.


5. Overseas businessmen seek cooperation in Jiaxing


Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province held a promotion conference for its investment environment and international cooperation on Oct 29.


The event was attended by more than 80 representatives from foreign chambers of commerce in China, foreign-invested companies, foreign-invested financial institutions, associations for friendship with foreign countries, and investment promotion agencies.
