When opening the webpage of Chongyang's project page on JustGiving, a famous online donating website in the UK, you will find a short paragraph briefly introducing his project's purpose - cycling around Wales for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity.

As Chong writes, he plans to cycle around Wales to generate as much money as possible for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, to help fund a comfortable and positive environment and improve facilities and state-of-the-art equipment such as CT scans and digital mobile X-Rays machines. By donating, the money will also help improve the care and treatment of NHS staff and patients, creating an area sufficient for people and staff who treat them at the Cheltenham and Gloucester General Hospitals.  As planned, Chong's cycle tour will take approximately 2 and a bit more weeks covering a little over 850 miles. He will start at Cheltenham and finish at Cheltenham.

According to his parents, the journey across Wales is not easy as the young man needs to travel across mountainous areas. Sometimes, Chongyang will have to go without navigation and his mobile phone even went wrong under some circumstances. So far, Chongyang has travelled more than 200 kilometres, including the unnecessary roads on his way.

As his parents introduced in the interview with "In Zhejiang", Chong's family pays close attention to the education of their kids and the parents never forget the importance of Chinese education for their children, as they think that staying conscious of the inheritance of Chinese culture is a big part of their parenting and a critical task for keeping the Chinese identity for all overseas Chinese.

Chong, whose full name is Lü Chongyang (吕重阳) is originally from Chun'an County, the place where the iconic landmark Qiandao Lake is famous both at home and abroad. Chong immigrated to the UK at the age of four with his parents and now lives in Cheltenham County, Gloucestershire of the United Kingdom.

His parents very much cared for his learning of Chinese classics and Chinese culture during his growing-up life. In a person's growth process, especially during childhood, it is essential to cultivate his cultural identity and identification with his home culture.

Chong's story is such an example showing the traditional cultural values that influence the psyche of the overseas Chinese people, namely, harmony, benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, honesty, loyalty, and filial piety.
