On April 28, 2022, on a university campus, a group of young people was doing an exercise called "tan zi cao", a way of exercise with rhythmic movement that has become a recent hit on the Internet. 

They are pre-admitted candidates for volunteering in the Ningbo arenas of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. These students come from Ningbo University of Finance and Economics and for these 489 potential volunteers, a range of training courses is on the way.

"Now there are only 10 pre-admitted volunteers on site according to the pandemic prevention and control regulations, the volunteers can be trained online and the total number of people involved in training is 30." a tutor who is doing a test run of the live broadcast equipment said. Since these would-be volunteers live on three different campuses, they are mainly trained in the means of live broadcasting.

Duan Shuyi, the teacher who is there to coordinate, said that the online and offline way of training is carefully arranged in line with the current situation. That is, those pre-admitted volunteers who are weak in physique and etiquette are trained on-site and received face-to-face guidance while those who listened to online lessons are mainly would-be volunteers from Xiangshan Campus, most of whom major in the university’s performance program and have acquired stage skills already, so they can save the one-to-one offline guidance. 

Ms. Sun Jun, who is in charge of the training of pre-admitted volunteers, said, "We have a total of 489 pre-admitted candidates for volunteering in the Asian Games, which has topped all universities in Ningbo". 

It is said that Ningbo University of Finance and Economics has carried out 14 training sessions with a total of 1,548 person-times. At the same time, the university has carried out one-to-one professional etiquette guidance six times for 30 pre-admitted Etiquette and flag bearers.
