East China’s Zhejiang Province, under Yuan Jiajun, secretary of the CPC's Provincial Committee, is playing a key role in helping to achieve the goal of innovation and high tech industries set by Chinese President Xi Jinping. As the home of the world’s leading companies including tech giant Alibaba, the province is promoting digitalization and planning a global digital hub.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the province not only remained successful in prevention and control but also resumed the work and production and as a result, it contributed to China’s total share of exports. The province continued to attract foreign investment and made significant progress in expanding the free trade zone.
The implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan will begin this year and Zhejiang Province’s role will also be very crucial. The provincial leadership has made a comprehensive strategy to build Zhejiang a pioneer province in a modern country.
The private enterprises in Zhejiang will be helped to promote the growth of manufacturing by attracting more multinational companies and boosting small and medium innovative companies.
As China has set a goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, the province has always followed the green and high-quality development pattern. Zhejiang is preparing detailed plans and confidence to achieve targets set in 14th FYP.
The preparations to host the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou next year are in full swing and all venues will be ready by next April.
During the games, Hangzhou will welcome athletes and audiences from across the globe also because of its most beautiful landscape, rich cultural heritage, and innovative dynamic economy.
