Zhejiang wraps up the 14th international students talent show, exploring the shared future of international education

On December 11, 2020, the Communication University of Zhejiang has transformed its 1200 studio into a heart-pounding and reinvigorating showcase of cultural diversity, talent, and a wholesome global spirit. An amazing line-up of international students from 13 universities across Zhejiang Province presented a magnificent evening for the audience on the night. A total of representatives from 15 universities of Zhejiang Province attended the event.

This’s what has happened during the wonderful gala of the 14th "Dreams Come True in Zhejiang" International Student Fairs with the theme of "Exploring Zhejiang for a Shared Future". Organizers include the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, the Information Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government.

With a vast array of performances, ranging from evocative raps to melodious duets, street dance to the chorus, the starriest talents fulfilled their promise of a magical night to remember.

As the night progressed, international students who have shown their exceptional talents to promoting intercultural understanding and understanding of Zhejiang spirit during the “Beautiful Zhejiang” Short Video Contest were honored awards for their great achievements. Two submissions from Zhejiang Gongshang University and another submission from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University received the first prizes, while six submissions were awarded the second prizes and 10 for the third prizes.

 

On December 12, more than 200 international students who either presented their performances or won the prizes for the short video contest will visit the Wuzhen Water Town to experience the vibrant integration of modern digital technology and the thousand-year-old history of water town cultures.

 

The themed event of “Dreams Come True in Zhejiang” International Student Fairs has attracted thousands of international students from more than 50 countries across the globe since its first commencement. The event has become such a good get-together for all international students of Zhejiang to experience the most authentic local cultures and to understand the history and customs of Zhejiang.
