在浙江台州，联合国前副秘书长埃里克·索尔海姆看到了一个令他振奋的项目——让海洋塑料“变废为宝”。

In Taizhou, Zhejiang, Erik Solheim, former under-secretary-general of the United Nations witnessed an inspiring project— turning marine plastic waste into new products.
从这里开出的渔船，不仅从海里带回鱼，也带回塑料垃圾。这些塑料垃圾在工厂里被压缩、切碎，变成如钻石般的颗粒。接着，它们被重新制成围巾、领带、购物车，甚至家具。

Fishing boats departing from Taizhou not only bring back fish but also plastic wastes from the sea. The plastic wastes are compressed and shredded in factories, turning into diamond-like particles. These particles are then made into scarves, ties, shopping trolleys, and even furniture.

从垃圾到资源，从污染物到新产品。台州的“蓝色循环”用实际行动诠释了什么是“循环经济”。

From trash to treasure, from pollutant to new products, Taizhou's "Blue Circle" project demonstrates the concept of “circular economy”.

在2024和合文化全球论坛上，索尔海姆被评为“和合文化传播大使”。和合，是中国传统思想流派在历史长河中交汇激荡、融通荟萃后孕育出的独特智慧，倡导和而不同。

In 2024, Taizhou hosted 2024 Global Forum on Hehe Culture during which Solheim was appointed as ambassador for Hehe Culture. Hehe culture, which originated in Taizhou's Tiantai mountains, embodies the concept of harmony but not uniformity.

索尔海姆说：“虽然我们有不同观点，但我们依然可以为了和平、环境、教育与健康，一起努力。”

"We have different opinions," Solheim said, "but we can still work together for peace, the environment, education, and health."
