Erik Solheim, from Norway, was once served as under-secretary-general of the United Nations and executive director of the United Nations Environment Programme. Over the past 40 years, he has traveled to countless countries and regions. In 2023, he was honored with the Chinese Government Friendship Award.
今年春天，他再次来到中国，深入浙江杭州、湖州、台州等地，实地探寻中国绿色发展的生动实践。他想回答一个问题：中国如何能以如此坚定的决心和如此快的速度实现转型？这一切，是如何实现的？又是从哪里开始的？他来浙江寻找答案。
This spring, he returned to China, visiting Hangzhou, Huzhou, Taizhou and other cities in Zhejiang province to witness firsthand the country’s vivid practices in green development. He set out to answer a question: How has China managed to transform with such unwavering determination and at such remarkable speed? How was this achieved—and where did it all begin? He came to Zhejiang in search of answers.
