Jinhua is a city of historical interest as well as a place used to be contested by all strategists.  Jinhua is the hometown of the world-famous Emperor Huang. Just as remarkable places usually produce outstanding people, the City, with its picturesque scenery, has given birth to legions of talented people like the wise minister and brave warriors, knowledgeable scholars and skillful talents,  great painters and exquisite doctorsas well as patriotic elites. From generation to generation, the ham of Jinhua is known both at home and abroad.

A land flowing with milk and honey, Jinhua boasts plentiful resources. Abundant in farm produce and local specialties, it gains such names as “the Second Largest Grain Depot of  Zhejiang”, “Home to Fruits”, “Home to Camellias”, “Home to Xianggu”, “Home to Medicinal  Materials,” and “Milk-Cow Base in South China”.

Jinhua has a rich resource of natural and human tourism. Wu River in the city, also named  Shuangxi, is praised by Li Qingzhao with poetry lines “on hearing the spring of Shuangxi incoming, how about setting out a slight skiff”. Waters flow around the city and runs westwards with a beautiful view. Two grand mountains in the south and north stand outside the city. The north one winds like a dragon and the south one lines up like screens. Characteristic natural beauties hide among the rivers and mountains.
