1.Zhejiang reports 1 confirmed case and 4 asymptomatic cases

Zhejiang reported 1 confirmed case (imported from Egypt) and four asymptomatic cases (including 2 imported from Mexico, 1 imported from Peru and 1 imported from Australia) on Tuesday. Close contacts that have been checked have been centrally quarantined. As of 24:00 on Jan 11, 2086 confirmed cases (334 imported cases) had been reported in Zhejiang.

2.Omicron spreads to central China's Henan after Tianjin

Two people infected with Omicron were identified in central China's Henan Province, local authorities reported on Monday, marking the first cross-province spread of the new coronavirus variant after its first community transmission last week in the northern Tianjin Municipality.

The two Omicron cases were detected during a screening of positive cases in Anyang City in central China's Henan Province. Analysis by Henan's provincial disease control and prevention center shows they have the same transmission chain as the cases found in Tianjin.
