In order to strictly implement "the Emergency Notice by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism on Strictly Carrying out the Ongoing Pandemic Prevention and Control Work", to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread, to safeguard the health and safety of citizens and tourists, scenic spots and cultural sites in Hangzhou have tightened up on pandemic prevention and control measures. Museums and Exhibition Halls


1. China Fans Museum 


Due to the requirements of pandemic prevention and control, China Fan Museum is closed starting from December 11 (Saturday). The date of reopening will be further noticed according to the development of the pandemic.


Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Museum, China Knife, Scissors and Swords Museum, and China Umbrella Museum are still open as usual.


2. Hangzhou Bejing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum 


  • Visitors can make a real-name reservation via the official WeChat account of "Hangzhou Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum". Before entering the venue, please present your itinerary QR code, health QR code, and the record of COVID-19 vaccination (those that aren’t vaccinated are required to register their names, telephones, addresses, and other information for verification before they can enter), and take temperature tests. Only if your body temperature is below 37.3 degrees Celsius without symptoms like cough, fever, etc., your itinerary QR code and health QR code are green, and you have no recent history of traveling to or staying in medium and high-risk areas, can you enter the venue.

  • Please strictly follow personal COVID-19 prevention and control protocols, wears masks at all times, keep a safe social distance of 1.5 meters and more and avoid gathering in the venue.

  • The daily allowed number of visitors is limited to 500 for Hangzhou Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum. Jiangshu Railway Exhibition Hall and Folk Custom Relics and Memory Hall are temporarily closed until further notice.


3. China National Silk Museum


  • All visitors are required to make a reservation to visit in advance via the official WeChat account of "China National Silk Museum" and fill out the "health declaration". On-site reservations aren’t available. Visitors are required to bring their valid certificates (ID card, citizen card, etc.) for verification. Please enter the museum at the designated time stated in your reservation. If something comes up and you can’t go, please cancel the reservation in time.

  • Before entering, visitors are required to cooperate to have their reservation information checked and body temperature is taken, and show health QR code, itinerary QR code, and results of “COVID0-19 Close Contact Tracing” Self Check.

  • Visitors are required to wear masks properly at all times, keep a social distance of one meter and more, choose off-peak visits and avoid gathering. The gathering of visitors in the museum is strictly prohibited in the museum.

  • Tour guide services and group reservation services are temporarily suspended. All social teaching activities are also suspended.


4. Hangzhou West Lake Expo Museum

5. Hangzhou Cuisine Museum Exhibition Hall

Temples


Starting from December 10, 2021, Lingyin Temple, Faxi Temple, Jingci Temple and Jingshan Temple implement "two suspensions" (suspending the opening of the venue and suspending all religious gatherings). They are temporarily closed for both tourists and pilgrims. The temples will stay closed until further notice.


Scenic Areas


1. West Lake and Xixi Scenic Area


  • Control the Number of Visitors Allowed in the Scenic Area

    All tourist attractions in the West Lake and Xix Scenic Area shall limit the number of visitors allowed to no more than 50 percent of the approved capacity; For museums, memorial halls, and other indoor areas, the number allowed should be no more than 50 percent of approved number; hotels and restaurants inside the scenic area shall restrict the number of people allowed to 50 percent of the approved capacity, require customers to dine at intervals and encourage customers to have a takeaway.

  • Implement Real-Name Reservation, Monitor Temperature, Check QR codes and Strictly Follow Pandemic Prevention and Control Protocols

    All parks and tourist attractions in the scenic area shall implement responsibly the measures of “reservation, off-peak visit and restriction on the number of visitors”, and strictly follow the prevention and control measures like monitoring temperature, showing (scanning) health (venue) QR codes, wearing masks and checking itinerary QR code. Ticketing offices, docks, and entrances should strictly implement the one-meter social distance regulation and disinfect such places as tourist attractions, vehicles and boats.


2. Suspend All Large-Scale Events and Lingyin Temple Temporarily Closed


All large-scale events in the scenic area including Wansong Academy Saturday Blind Date Activity are suspended. Lingyin Temple starting from December 10, 2021 implements “two suspensions” (suspending the opening of the venue and suspending all religious gatherings). It is temporarily closed for both tourists and pilgrims. The temple will stay closed until further notice.


3. Fuyicang Art Center


Fuyicang Art Center is temporarily closed starting from December 11 until further notice.


4. Lanli Scenic Area
