On the morning of September 16, at the 4th China Quality Conference, Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group Limited was given the highest honor in the field of quality in China - China Quality Award, which is the first time that a domestic port enterprise and that a Zhejiang enterprise receives this award. "We will continue to adhere to the 'first-class standard' quality pursuit, to create a first-class port model globally and to contribute greatly to the construction of a 'strong quality country'!" says Mao Jianhong, the Secretary of Party Committee and Chairman of the board of Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group at the conference.

China Quality Award was established in 2012, which represents China's highest honor in the field of quality. Through the "evaluation of management" and "evaluation of the notion", the Award aims at establishing an advanced quality benchmark, promoting scientific quality management methods, and continuously improving China's quality level. Including Ningbo Zhoushan Port, a total of nine organizations and one individual are awarded the China Quality Award.

Port is a basic and pivotal facility, which plays an important role in economic development. Ningbo Zhoushan Port is a superport with the number one annual cargo throughput globally for 12 consecutive years. It has full cargo handling capacity, full supporting service capacity, and full coverage of the route network. It is in an important position in terms of the national strategies for jointly building "the Belt and Road", for co-development of Yangtze River Economic Belt, and for YD Integrated Development, etc. 

For a long time, Ningbo Zhoushan Port has taken quality as the lifeblood of its survival and development. It sticks to national strategies, working for the regional economies and global customers. The port continues to give full play to the advantages of regional maritime port integration and keeps enhancing the quality foundation. It forms a quality culture and quality strategy covering the whole harbor basin, full cargo, and the whole process, securing the advantaged position as the number one port globally.
