Hangzhou airport opens more intl flights

The Hangzhou International Airport in Xiaoshan district is expecting large passenger flows from home and abroad, as China recently further eased its travel policies, local media outlets reported.


According to Xiaoshan Daily, as of January, the airport has received flight resumption plans from more than 10 domestic and foreign airlines. It is expected to open direct flights to 20 countries and regions across the world and run a total of 72 flights per week.


The airport has opened direct flights to Macao, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Osaka, Doha, Frankfurt, Seoul, Cairo, Bandar Seri Begawan, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Lisbon, Hanoi, Singapore, and Rome.


China announced on Feb 6 that it will test out resuming group tours to 20 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Russia, Switzerland, Hungary, New Zealand, Fiji, Cuba, and Argentina.
