January 28 is the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday. China Railway is expected to send 12 million passengers on this day, and plans to operate 10,689 passenger trains. During the Spring Festival holiday, the number of railway passengers continued to recover. From January 21st to 27th, the national railways sent 50.174 million passengers, with an average of 7.168 million passengers per day, a year-on-year increase of 57.0%, returning to 83.1% of 2019. January 26 and 27 were the peaks of return passenger flow, and the number of railway passengers exceeded 10 million for two consecutive days.


On January 27, a total of 50.92 million passengers were transported by railways, highways, waterways, and civil aviation across the country, an increase of 83.1% year-on-year. The total flow of highways nationwide was 62.592 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 29.7%. During the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, the total number of passengers nationwide reached 225.638 million.
