Wenzhou dishes, fresh, light but not tasteless, are mainly made of seafood. Its cooking techniques feature less oil, thin starchy sauce, and good cutting skill. The Colorful Fish Strips,along with the Pounded Fish with Three Seasoning Ingredients, and Quick-fried Cuttlefish, are reputed as “Three Incomparable Dishes of Wenzhou Cuisine”.

 

The Colorful Fish Strips are a newly-innovative dish. To prepare the dish, cut the back meat of a blackfish into thin strips as the main ingredient, and stir-fry the strips with prepared red and green bell pepper strips, egg strips, and brown mushroom strips. The dish, colorful with complete and evenly-cut fish strips, tastes delicious.
