The Hangzhou West Railway Station went into service on Sept 22. It will operate 19 pairs of passenger trains each day, and contribute to the railway transportation of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, together with Hangzhou Station, Hangzhou East Station and Hangzhou South Station.

Intelligent electric fans in the station can sense wind power, temperature, humidity, and noise data and automatically open the exterior window of the glass curtain wall to provide fresh air to passengers.

The 15,000 monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules atop the station for solar energy can generate 2.31 million kWh annually, and save more than 830 tons of standard coal and reduce over 2,300 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
