According to the official website of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Yanzhou ancient city scenic spot in Jiande, together with China National Silk Museum, West Lake Lingshan scenic spot, Hemudu Site Museum and other scenic spots (venues), has passed the national 4A-level scenic spot landscape quality evaluation and is planned to be included in the list of construction.

Landscape quality assessment is the "ticket" for the establishment of a national 4A-level scenic spot. Yanzhou ancient city scenic spot has recently passed the assessment which marks that the city has achieved phased results in building 4A level scenic spot. Next, Yanzhou ancient city will continue to strengthen the construction and improve various tourism facilities according to the quality rating standard of the scenic spot and will strive to be a national 4A level scenic spot in 2021.

Yanzhou ancient city (Meicheng Town) is a veritable "hometown of poetry" and a brilliant cultural treasure for "Qiantang River poetry". Poems of Tang and Song dynasties are full of praise of the city, attracting people of all ages. There is a saying that when you step into Meicheng Town, you will experience the dreamy life in Yanzhou.

With a history of more than 1,700 years, Yanzhou ancient city is the only one in the Yangtze River Delta with clear regulations, complete construction of streets, and rich historical heritage.
