Yandang Mountain Scenic Area

As one of the ten most famous mountains in China, the Yandang Mountain is located in the Northeast of Wenzhou. In Chinese, Yandang means “reed marsh for wild geese”. It derives from the scene that wild geese gather in the marshes around the lake at the top of the mountain in autumn. Yandang Mountain is known for its unique characteristics and has been regarded as “No. 1 Mountain of Southeast China”, “a famous mountain on the sea. Yandang Mountain covers an area of 450 square kilometers, and has more than 500 tourist attractions and 8 major scenic areas. Of all the scenic spots in Yandang Mountain, Lingfeng Peak, Lingyan Rock and Dalongqiu Waterfall are the most famous, known as the “three supremes of the Yandang Mountain”.
