Located in the core area of CBD at Qianjiang New Town of Hangzhou, alongside Qiantang River, the hotel provides guests with a great opportunity to admire the charm of the city. The landscape on the riverside is comparable to the view of the Bund at Shanghai. The light show at night is very much worth a look.

The design of the architecture is credited to ATKINS, a famous British design institute. Their works include Anara Tower and Burj Al Arab in Dubai and Namaste Tower in Bombay. The design of the architecture represents the spirit of Diaoyutai, combining the magnificence and modern style. The interior of Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality was designed by CCD. Joe Cheng, the founder of CCD, is good at presenting oriental conceptions in Western surroundings. The conception of hospitality is well conveyed to the guests through the design and decorations. The hues of red, black, bronze and the deep grey-blue portray its luxury. The decoration of bookshelves and antiques in the receipt hall adds a literary touch to the hotel.
