The Cultural China Tour, an event organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made its way to Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on April 25.

Over 60 journalists and editors from central and provincial-level media, as well as industry-specific media, participated in the event.

They immersed themselves in the city’s Wuxing and Nanxun districts to gain a profound understanding of the dynamic practices and innovative experiences propelling cultural inheritance and development in the region.

In the Wuxing district, the media delegation explored Zhuangyuan Street and Xiaoxi Street. The two streets, facing each other across a river, proudly showcase the remaining architectural relics in the Jiangnan region, the area to the south of the Yangtze River along its lower reaches.

They then delved into the Nanxun Ancient Town, the first-world cultural heritage and a national 5A-level tourist attraction in Huzhou. Often hailed as the "crown jewel" of the six major ancient towns in Jiangnan, Nanxun has 16 national-level cultural relic protection units and 36 historical buildings.
