The Hangzhou-Quzhou High-Speed Railway, linking Hangzhou and Quzhou cities in East China's Zhejiang province, began a key final assessment procedure called the static inspection on Aug 1.

The static inspection is a vital component of the final acceptance process for new railway projects. It involves a comprehensive evaluation of construction quality and equipment installation across various systems — including infrastructure, communications, signaling, and power supply.

Following the static inspection, the railway will undergo joint testing and trial operations to ensure everything is in place for its official launch.

The Hangzhou-Quzhou High-Speed Railway stretches some 131 kilometers in Zhejiang, passing through Hangzhou's Jiande county-level city and Quzhou's Longyou county, Qujiang district, Kecheng district, and Jiangshan county-level city.

Designed for speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour, the line features six stations — Jiande, Jiande South, Longyou North, Qujiang, Quzhou West, and Jiangshan. The route includes 116 bridges and 33 tunnels.

Once operational, the high-speed railway will serve as a crucial economic link between the Hangzhou Bay and Jinhua-Quzhou-Lishui economic belts, supporting regional integration and development in the Yangtze River Delta region.
