Quzhou's GDP grows 5.5% in first half of 2025

The GDP of Quzhou, a city in East China's Zhejiang province, hit 112.35 billion yuan ($15.67 billion) in the first half of 2025, representing a 5.5 percent year-on-year increase, according to the Quzhou municipal bureau of statistics.

In the six months, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries reached 6.73 billion yuan, up 4.4 percent year-on-year.

The industrial sector showed steady growth in the same period. The non-ferrous metals smelting and rolling processing industry grew by 21.0 percent year-on-year; the computer, communications, and other electronics equipment manufacturing industry increased by 16.4 percent; the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing sector rose by 11.5 percent; and the chemical raw materials and chemicals products manufacturing industry expanded by 8.0 percent.

In the first half, the service sector's added value increased by 6.0 percent year-on-year.

Fixed asset investment in Quzhou jumped by 12.1 percent year-on-year, accelerating by 5.6 percentage points compared to the first quarter.

Retail sales of consumer goods totaled 51.53 billion yuan, up 6.2 percent year-on-year, with the growth rate improving by 1.4 percentage points from the first quarter.

The general public budget revenue reached 12.79 billion yuan, a 2.4 percent increase, while public budget expenditure grew by 1.9 percent.

The per capita disposable income of urban residents in Quzhou climbed to 38,163 yuan, a 5.3 percent increase, while rural residents saw a 6.2 percent rise, reaching 19,648 yuan.
