As a co-host city of the upcoming 19th Asian Games, Shaoxing will hold basketball, volleyball, rock climbing, baseball and softball competitions at four stadiums. As a well-known cultural city, Shaoxing has a history of nearly 2,500 years and a reputation for its intricate waterways, enormous bridges, aromatic rice wine, and cultivating many literati, educators, calligraphers and politicians.
