For Vinod, Acting Director General of the OCA, the experience of being an Asian Games torchbearer on 20 September was amazing, even though he has been to Hangzhou more than 50 times over the years.

Vinod said the torchbearers are ambassadors for the Games, bringing the Games to different cities and different people, creating an atmosphere to get everyone interested in the Games.

He invited the world to Hangzhou, "Welcome to Hangzhou and enjoy the atmosphere of the games. Your applause and your warmth will make them (athletes) perform better."
