The award ceremony of the "Picturesque and Dynamic Zhejiang" provincial brand logo and global short video contest was held in Hangzhou on Mar 10.

The contest received more than 8,000 entries and was viewed more than 10 billion views on the internet. In addition to domestic entrants, there are also contestants from the United States, Germany, France, Russia, South Korea, Pakistan and other countries.

The Best (Overseas) Dissemination Award went to Life in Qingshan Village, which tells the story of the German designer Christoph John, who has been living in China for 12 years. Chris said he was inspired by the Yuhang oil-paper umbrella - a Zhejiang intangible cultural heritage - to create the paper chair “Piao” which won him the top prize at the Milan Salone Satellite Exhibition.

Several years ago, Chris brought his family to Zhejiang and settled down in Qingshan village, Yuhang district, Hangzhou. Chris said in his acceptance speech that he has been seeing more young people return to the countryside in recent years. Because of the competition video, more people have gotten to learn about Qingshan village.
