Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced the list of the first 24 pilot cities for intelligent construction in China. Wenzhou, Jiaxing and Taizhou in Zhejiang Province were shortlisted as pilot cities, making it the province with the most cities selected nationwide.


The important breakthrough to achieve high-quality development of the construction industry lies in the vigorous development of intelligent construction, with digital design, intelligent production, intelligent construction,  Internet of construction industry, construction robots, intelligent supervision as the goal, to form a new construction method with high efficiency, high quality, low consumption and low emissions.


In recent years, Zhejiang has accelerated the industrialization of new buildings, actively promoted intelligent construction, and comprehensively promoted the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and improved quality and efficiency. As of the end of 2021, the province has completed a total of nearly 400 million square meters of assembled buildings, accounting for more than 30% of new buildings for two consecutive years, and completed more than 7 million square meters of steel structure prefabricated houses, both ranking among the top in the country. 4 cities and 23 enterprises in Zhejiang are listed as national prefabricated building demonstration cities and industrial bases, building and operating the major application program integrated in the province, "Zhelijian" (Building in Zhejiang). BIM, cloud computing, IoT, artificial intelligence and other new technologies have been applied in the province's construction field, with 10 cases have been selected by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development as "New technology and new product innovation service cases of intelligent construction".
