As of March 25, the cumulative green power transaction volume in Zhejiang province in 2022 has broken through 1 billion kWh for the first time, with an increase of 208.64% compared with last year. This year, Zhejiang province has carried out 11 green power transactions, with a total of 4 wholesalers, 14 power companies and 40 power producers participating in.

Green power separates wind and photovoltaic power from traditional power, accelerating the green-oriented transition of energy across the province.

"Green power transaction not only meets the rigid needs of green transformation of enterprises, but also helps the province realize carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals," Gong Jianrong introduced, director of trading department of Zhejiang power trading center.

It is reported that Zhejiang is the first province to introduce provincial green power transaction policies and supporting documents. Policy-wise, green power transaction has been included in the revised Medium and Long Term Rules of Zhejiang Power Transaction in 2021 issued by Zhejiang Provincial Energy Bureau. Since last November, Zhejiang has taken the lead in normalizing green power transaction.
