East China's Zhejiang province is to strengthen the education of science and technology for students in elementary and high schools by inviting 100 scientists to host lectures to promote the scientific mindset for teens. 

The first lecture, held by Shi Yigong, president of Westlake University, was given to over 5 million students online and offline across the province. Shi's lecture encouraged students to roam around the world of science and technology with curiosity and innovation. "I hope several decades later, a teacher will be sharing your stories with his or her students," said Shi.

The lecture is part of a provincial scheme that aims to raise teenagers' overall understanding and quality in the science and technology field.
