On February 22, 2022, as the first batch of biodiversity field sites, the Kengli Biodiversity Fieldwork Site and Zhulong Biodiversity Fieldwork Site were officially opened in Lishui, Zhejiang Province.

The fieldwork sites are situated in the countryside and aim to popularize the bits of knowledge about biodiversity and broaden the fieldworks to get closer to nature.

The sites are full of a variety of ingenious designs——a colourful butterfly wall, 3D printing of living yellow-skirted bamboo fungus, infrared cameras that can explore the Baishanzu National Park, and colourful cultural and creative products...

"This year we intend to build a butterfly valley to enrich the tourists' fieldworks." A local staff said. Biodiversity fieldwork site is just the beginning of rural revitalization. In the future, the local government will tap into more biodiversity resources and develop rural tourism to achieve common prosperity.
