The three-day Fourth Overseas Chinese Imported Commodities Expo has included a sub-expo called "The Fourth Overseas Chinese Agricultural Products Exhibition" which showcases a variety of representative agricultural products and techniques of local Qingtian County and China in general.

Qingtian County, which is popularly known as China's most renowned "hometown of overseas Chinese" or "qiaoxiang", is also a Chinese county with a long history of agriculture, with many agricultural legacies beneficial to the whole world.

The Rice-Fish Cultural System (RFC) of Longxian Village in Qingtian County, is probably one of the most well-known Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) in the world. It spreads over 461 ha and has 50 ha, representing an ingenious agricultural rice-fish mutuality practiced by farmers over generations. Instead of using pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, fish eat plant hoppers and weeds while providing nutrients for rice. As they swim in the paddies, they soften the soil and bring oxygen into the water. As reciprocity, rice plants provide shades for fish.

For years, Qingtian is working hard to preserve the agricultural legacies and continue to push forward the development and innovation of agricultural resources. The Overseas Chinese Agricultural Products Exhibition has been held for three years and has benefited a lot for the local community.

This year, a wide range of agricultural products from Qingtian and China has been introduced on exhibition, which has showcased the splendid agricultural culture of the Chinese nation.
