Zhejiang again! China's first private-holding high-speed railway adds oil to achieving common prosperity


On October 26, a yellow train in charge of railway line inspection ran at a speed of 385 km/h along with Hangtai high-speed railway (Shaoxingbei Railway Station to Wenling Railway Station), achieving the highest test speed target in the alignment joint-test phase, which marks the countdown to full opening up of Hangtai high-speed railway.

 

The Hangtai high-speed railway has an operational mileage of 266.9 kilometers with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.


In an era of the digital economy: Zhejiang entrepreneurs of the year 2021 is unveiled


On October 24, the event "2021 Zhejiang Entrepreneurs in an Era of Digital Economy Annual Summit" and the sixth World Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention kicked off in Haining, Zhejiang. The first list of "In an era of the digital economy: Zhejiang entrepreneurs of the year 2021" was unveiled.  


Those Zhejiang entrepreneurs who made contributions to the sector of the digital economy can be hailed as being "Zhejiang Entrepreneurs in the Era of Digital Economy". The honor was first initiated by the Zhejiang Digital Economy Society (ZDES) in July 2019.


The Fourth World Textile Merchandising Conference is unveiled


On October 26, the fourth World Textile Merchandising Conference is unveiled in Keqiao District, Shaoxing, Zhejiang, where representatives from the textile industry from more than 60 countries and regions around the world deepened their cooperation through a dual-venue model of "domestic plus foreign" and "online plus offline", and joined hands to explore digital technology-enabled industrial transformation and upgrading, the feasible path to harmonious coexistence between industry and environment.


Zhejiang's GDP grows by 10.6% in the first three quarters


East China's Zhejiang province saw a GDP growth of 10.6 percent in the first three quarters of this year, with total volume reaching 5.28 trillion yuan ($830 billion), according to a press conference held by the province on Oct 25.


The added value of the primary industry was 140.7 billion yuan, growing by 2.7 percent year on year, with an average two-year growth of 2.0 percent.


The added value of the secondary industry was 2.2 trillion yuan, with 13.3 percent of year-on-year growth.


The tertiary industry was 293.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.1 percent. The income of residents has increased steadily, and the income gap between urban and rural areas has been further narrowed.


In the first three quarters, the per capita disposable income of all residents was 44,712 yuan, a nominal increase of 11.4% over the same period last year.


Traditional tea ceremony performed in Hangzhou


The 9th Southern Song Dynasty Tea Ceremony Competition was held at Qinghefang Street in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Oct 23.


According to the organizer Shangcheng Tea Culture Research Institute, the event has been held annually since 2013 to promote the tea culture of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) and increase the city's appeal to tea lovers from home and abroad.


Hangzhou was the imperial capital during the Southern Song dynasty and boasts a deep-rooted tea culture. Similar tea ceremony competitions used to be held frequently both in palaces and markets, said Qu Xuping, deputy director of Shangcheng Tea Culture Research Institute.
