The second “@Beautiful Zhejiang” Global Short Video Contest is in full swing, through which you can discover the beauty of Zhejiang and tell the story of wonderful China in your own way.

The second “@Beautiful Zhejiang” Global Short Video Contest is themed “Beautiful Zhejiang”, with“100 Years of Memory in My Eyes” and “the Outstanding Foreign Experience Officer” as its special sub-themes.

It is ready to receive short videos up to 3 minutes from both home and abroad. The award-winning videos will be honored and presented globally, with the opportunity to be featured at international and other film festivals. 

The Contest sets up two award categories of Comprehensive Awards and Individual Awards. The former includes 5 first prizes, 10-second prizes, 15 third prizes, and 30 honorable mentions; the latter includes 1 award respectively for Best Creative Ideas, Best Photography, and Best Editing, and 5 awards for “The Most Popular Video”, 5 awards for “100 Years of Memory in My Eyes”, 5 awards for “the Outstanding Foreign Experience Officer”, as well as several other awards for the excellent organization and international cooperation.

The Comprehensive Awards and Individual Awards will be decided by the votes online and the judgment of a professional review committee offline. Winners will receive a certificate and prize. The judging rules also stipulate that each video entry shall receive only one award in the second Contest, except for the Most Popular Video Award winners. The organizers reserve the right to the final decision for the Contest.

Requirements for entries

1. All works submitted shall reflect the theme of the Contest, fit in with the theme of “Beautiful Zhejiang”, or the sub-themes of“100 Years of Memory in My Eyes” and “the Outstanding Foreign Experience Officer”, and truly show the features of Zhejiang. The entries deliver positive energy and contain no information related to violence, pornography, religious discrimination, or racism, nor should there be any illegal or commercial content.

2. The video entries can be in the form of documentary, interview, or talk show, the duration of the entry is limited to 3 minutes.

3. The video entries can be filmed in any language, yet bilingual (Chinese and English)subtitles are required as a necessary condition.

4. Please submit videos in MPG, MPEG, AVI, MOV, WMV, or MP4 formats, with a resolution of 1280x720 (HD ready)or above. Both horizontal and vertical videos are accepted. No corner logos, channel logos, watermarks, or any other logos should be visible in the videos.

5. All the video entries submitted should be created by the contestants who maintain full copyright, without using any materials with unclear copyright, infringing any third party’s copyright, trademark right, or other legal rights, or copying others. Any dispute arising from or out of the infringement of copyright shall be borne by the contestants.

6.The contest organizing committee and its collaborative organizations are entitled to use the submitted videos for display and publicity.

Individuals, groups, or institutions may feel free to register for the contest through any of the following channels:

1. E-Registration: Email the video entry/entries and the registration form to ztvworld@163.com before August 31, 2021, with the subject “Videographer - Works Title - Short Video Contest”.

2. Display and Publicity of the Video Entries

1. Entries Display

Qualified entries will be posted online across a wide range of media platforms, including Zhejiang International Channel (ZTV World)’s official channels on WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, YouTube, Facebook, Tik-Tok, and China-Zhejiang English Website, In Zhejiang (an English social web service run by Zhejiang Daily). Viewers can vote and give likes to their favorite video entries. Video View(VV) and likes of the qualified entries on each platform will be referred to in the later review and judgment. 

2. Promotion of Award-winning Entries

The final results will be announced online in October or November. An award ceremony is scheduled to be held to present certificates and awards to the winners.   

The best video entries will be broadcast through Zhejiang Satellite TV, ZTV WORLD, ZTV NEWS, China Blue International Media Matrix, China Blue News APP, China-Zhejiang English Website, In Zhejiang English Website, “@Beautiful Zhejiang” Tik Tok, CCTV APP, Xinhua News, Xinhua APP, Xinhua News Agency Client and other important platforms at home and abroad.

It will also be disseminated through various media platforms of the “Important Window” Zhejiang International Communication Alliance members, the international communication cooperation media of overseas friendship cities, and domestic mainstream commercial video apps in China.
