On 28 July, the 2021 General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Discourses on Overseas Chinese Work Seminar was held in Hangzhou, hosted by the China Institute of Overseas Chinese and co-organized by Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Wuyi University.

Since 2014, the China Institute of Overseas Chinese, together with Wuyi University, has successfully organized seven seminars on General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Discourses on Overseas Chinese Work, which have become an institutional arrangement for the national overseas Chinese federation system and even the overseas Chinese community system to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourses on overseas Chinese work, and an important platform for experts and scholars of overseas Chinese research and overseas Chinese workers to deepen their theoretical research and share their research results.
