In the afternoon of July 21, the special exhibition of Zhejiang art “A Century of Commitment” celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was opened at the Zhejiang Exhibition Hall. The exhibition displayed more than 800 pieces/groups of important art works and historical information of Zhejiang over the past 100 years, covering 12 major categories such as art, calligraphy, photography, drama, music, dance, film and television. The exhibition lasts for ten days.

Evoking deep memories

It is the first time that Zhejiang's Arts has been presented in a modern way that integrates all artistic disciplines, comprehensively reviewing the high moments and glorious achievements of the various artistic disciplines in Zhejiang over the centenary of the founding of the CPC, as well as the outstanding contributions made by Zhejiang's Arts to the CPC's progressive cause and to the progressive development of society.

The exhibition is organized around one theme, two main lines, three paths and four chapters. The theme is the implementation and artistic presentation of the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speech at the congress celebrating the centenary of the founding of the CPC; the main lines are the red historical literary line and the humanistic heritage line; the paths are visual art, film art and stage art; the chapters are divided into the Red Epic, Theatre Hymn, the Peak of the Times and the Group of Brilliance.

Showing the endless elegance of Zhejiang in the new era

To encourage writers and artists to participate in the construction of “An Important Window of China”, the special exhibition focuses on Zhejiang’s Arts in the new era.

The video about fighting against the COVID-19, 16 sets of theatre models of the new drama “Once upon a Time in Fudeli”, the Zhejiang TV drama “Feather Flies To The Sky”, the G20 Logo and G20 voluntary costume, the 2021 opera “Red Boat”, etc. were “arranged” in locations with various logic, which leave the visitors a touch of something special.

At the “Theater Hymn” chapter, videos for the competition of “Plum Performance Award” and “JinGui Award” in Zhejiang province are being displayed. Combined with the multimedia display, they look quite wonderful.

In one of the “Peaks of the times” exhibitions, more than a dozen of large screens simultaneously display videos such as outstanding TV dramas, movies and cultural performances in Zhejiang in recent years, lively and technical.

Before the opening of the exhibition, Zhejiang News reporter conducted an exclusive interview on the exhibition team. One of the members told the reporter that the exhibition also intends to let the visitors learn more about Zhejiang artists and arts.

Those faces, masterpieces, and stories are all spiritual monuments.
