On November 20, the 2020 Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Industry Promotion Conference (Zhengzhou) kicked off in the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. The main purpose of this conference is to further promote the cooperation between Hangzhou and Zhengzhou in the convention and exhibition industry. 

The conference is hosted by Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and presented by Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Industry Development Service Center. Present at the conference includes heads from Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Industry Development Service Center, Hangzhou Conference and Exhibition Industry Association, Zhengzhou Convention and Exhibition Industry Association, Zhejiang Radio and TV Group, and other industry professionals. 

Although Hangzhou and Zhengzhou are thousands of miles apart, they have a deep history tie. Both of them are one of the "eight ancient capitals" of China, with profound historical and cultural assets. The large-scale population migration in the Song dynasty made the two cities deeply bonded together. 

Today, Hangzhou and Zhengzhou are more closely linked. In recent years, the project of "online silk road" in Zhengzhou has attracted Alibaba, NetEase, and other Hangzhou e-commerce enterprises to move in for joint development. 

At the conference, big industry bodies of convention and exhibition industry of Hangzhou and Zhengzhou signed a strategic cooperation agreement to normalize the exchanges between the two places and to integrate each other's resources to boost the convention and exhibition sector.
