The Picturesque Zhejiang Exhibition Week of Dynamic Zhejiang Culture and Tourism opens on Friday, showcasing Zhejiang’s splendid cultural legacies and rich tourism resources, and exploring the future of global cultural communication and tourism under the current critical circumstance of the COVID-19 epidemic, according to the organizers of the exhibition week.

At the opening ceremony on Friday night, about 100 diplomatic envoys and international representatives showed up at the Hangzhou Creative Design Center, where the ceremony was held. More than 20 renowned Zhejiang artists and inheritors of Zhejiang intangible cultural heritages had also attended the opening ceremony.

With "A Show to The World" as the theme, the opening ceremony involved a series of art performances of Zhejiang vibes. For instance, a grand fashion show with silk as the heart showcased the elegance and vibes of flowery silk costumes incisively and vividly.

"Zhejiang and Mauritius have enjoyed a sound foundation for cooperation for a long time. I hope that we can work together to expand cooperation in tourism, culture, and other fields in the future”, said H.E. Alain, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the embassy of the Republic of Mauritius in China, who attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition week. 

According to the organizers, the week-long exhibition will bring together physical and virtual exhibitions in the cloud series for the first time. Residents and visitors are welcome to explore the beauty of Zhejiang through a variety of interactive events, such as on-site explanations from well-known artists, live art performances by professional performers, and so forth. A kaleidoscope of themed cultural symbols of Zhejiang Province will come into the spotlight at the exhibition which consists of five distinctive chapters as follows: Harmony of Landscape, Quintessence of Art Circles, Dazzling Techniques of Zhejiang, Exotic Treasures from Abroad, and Blossoms over Serene Fields.
